I have very busy traveling lately, so have not been able to post those fortunes, as it has been hard to get internet access when u are traveling. Anyhow it is easier now as I got me a Sprint/Blueberry Curve 8530, I can get online anytime. These smartphones are awesome.
So here a few Long Lost Fortunes as I catch up with my posts. Good Luck
"You will soon be crossing great waters on a fun vacation" I love this as it is my goals to go travel overseas these 2 years. To South East Asia or Europe and I also plan for a road trip across America.
" You may lose the small ones but win the big ones" We always fuss about it when we lose something small, but to think about it sometime it gives us opportunities to win the big ones. My dreams is to get 20,000,000 dollars, Ha ha. Believe in the Law of Attraction.

How to Choose Lottery Numbers- Formula-Ditch the Fortune Cookies
Try this Formula instead of the Fortune Cookies next time you buy your lottery ticket.
While there is no surefire system to pick winning lottery numbers, people who frequently play the lottery often have a particular system. If your state offers the Mega Millions Lottery, you can use the system below to help you pick winning numbers.
Even though every combination of numbers has an equal chance of winning, you might just hit the jackpot!
Step 1
Visit the website of the Mega Millions Lottery and look at the winning numbers for the past 50 drawings. In every drawing, the first 5 numbers are drawn from 1 to 56. The last number, the Mega Ball, is drawn from 1 to 46. The first 5 numbers of every winning ticket are listed in order from smallest to largest.
Step 2
Now, look at the first column of numbers; these are the lowest numbers in each winning lottery ticket over the past 50 drawings. Pick a number that has that appears frequently in the first column.
Step 3
Next, look at the 5th column of numbers; these are the highest numbers in each drawing. Pick a number that occurs frequently in the 5th column.
Step 4
Pick the next three Mega Millions by using the digits in your phone number. Pick lottery numbers that give you a good vibe.
Step 5
Lastly, for the Mega Ball, pick either your age or half your age.
Step 6
One last strategy for picking winning lottery numbers is the following. Purchase a quick pick ticket where a computer randomly generates the numbers for you. Then purchase another ticket, and add 1 to all the numbers on the quick pick. For example, if the first lottery ticket is 3, 11, 14, 26, 48, and 35; then pick 4, 12, 15, 27, 49, and 36 for the second ticket.

Today Americans celebrate Labor Day. There will be a lot of Barbecue and Parties.Still a lot of people have to work on this day. Those work in Convenience Store, Restaurants and Retail Store.
Also we have Hurricane Gustav coming onshore to Louisiana, and millions of people have to evacuate and a lot of them comes over to Alabama and Georgia. Most of the Hotels and Motel were full for the weekend.

April Fools' Day Cookie
April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day, though not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, enemies and neighbors, or sending them on fools' errands, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible.
Among some of the well known pranks were:
Alabama Changes the Value of Pi: The April 1998 newsletter of New Mexicans for Science and Reason contained an article written by physicist Mark Boslough claiming that the Alabama Legislature had voted to change the value of the mathematical constant pi to the "Biblical value" of 3.0. This claim originally appeared as a news story in the 1961 science fiction novel Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein.
Spaghetti trees: The BBC television programme Panorama ran a famous hoax in 1957, showing the Swiss harvesting spaghetti from trees. They had claimed that the despised pest the spaghetti weevil had been eradicated. A large number of people contacted the BBC wanting to know how to cultivate their own spaghetti trees. It was in fact filmed in St Albans.
Left Handed Whoppers: In 1998, Burger King ran an ad in USA Today, saying that people could get a Whopper for left-handed people whose condiments were designed to drip out of the right side. Not only did customers order the new burgers, but some specifically requested the "old", right-handed burger.
Taco Liberty Bell: In 1996, Taco Bell took out a full-page advertisement in The New York Times announcing that they had purchased the Liberty Bell to "reduce the country's debt" and renamed it the "Taco Liberty Bell." When asked about the sale, White House press secretary Mike McCurry replied tongue-in-cheek that the Lincoln Memorial had also been sold and would henceforth be known as the Ford Lincoln Mercury Memorial.
San Serriffe: The Guardian printed a supplement in 1977 praising this fictional resort, its two main islands (Upper Caisse and Lower Caisse), its capital (Bodoni), and its leader (General Pica). Intrigued readers were later disappointed to learn that San Serriffe (sans serif) did not exist except as references to typeface terminology. (This comes from a Jorge Luis Borges story.)[7]
Metric time: Repeated several times in various countries, this hoax involves claiming that the time system will be changed to one in which units of time are based on powers of 10.
Smell-o-vision: In 1965, the BBC purported to conduct a trial of a new technology allowing the transmission of odor over the airwaves to all viewers. Many viewers reportedly contacted the BBC to report the trial's success. This hoax was also conducted by the Seven Network in Australia in 2005.[9] In 2007, the BBC website repeated an online version of the hoax.
'Movie Guru's Gotcha" Starting in 1992 movie companies began to hold back all movies that came out on April Fool's day. Due to the fact that April Fool's in not always on Tuesday this has only occurred twice.[citation needed]
Tower of Pisa: The Dutch television news reported once in the 1950s that the Tower of Pisa had fallen over. Many shocked people contacted the station.
Write Only Memory: Signetics advertised Write Only Memory IC databooks in 1972 through the late 1970s.[12]
The Canadian news site bourque.org announced in 2002 that Finance Minister Paul Martin had resigned "in order to breed prize Charolais cattle and handsome Fawn Runner ducks."
Here are some April Fools Day Cookies:

Spring in in the Air- Cookie
The weather is warming up, although we still have a few cold nights.Flowers and trees are blooming, the weeds and grass are growing fast with all the rains. Birds are chirping and squirrels are hopping around. I washed the cars yesterday, but today there is another coat yellow of pollen on them. The sun is shining bright, and hot in the afternoon. And I can smell the fragrant of the Dogwoods, Jasmine and Pines. Well, Spring is in the Air.
Spring officially began on March 20th.It will last through the months, April, May and June.
Spring is seen as a time of growth, renewal, of new life (both plant and animal) being born. The term is also used more generally as a metaphor for the start of better times, as in Prague Spring.
Spring is the time to plant your flowers and vegetables. Most people start their first planting on Easter Day.The cool whether and hot sunshine will help your plants to spring up fast.
It is also the time to put up those winter clothings and clean up the closet. Thus, Spring Cleaning.
Also, a time to start anew, start a new goal. A time to wear those spring outfits.A time to start a new job or new career and a time for Spring break, to take a vacation at the beach.
So, here are some Spring Fortunes for you.

Leap Year 2008/Leap Day- Fortune Cookies
This year February 29Th ,2008 is a Leap Year's Day.We work or enjoy one extra day.
What is a Leap Year/Leap Day?
A leap year (or intercalary year) is a year containing one or more extra days (or, in the case of lunisolar calendars, an extra month) in order to keep the calendar year synchronised with the astronomical or seasonal year. For example, in the Gregorian calendar, February would have 29 days in a leap year instead of the usual 28. Because seasons and astronomical events do not repeat at an exact number of full days, a calendar which had the same number of days in each year would, over time, drift with respect to the event it was supposed to track. By occasionally inserting (or intercalating) an additional day or month into the year, the drift can be corrected. A year which is not a leap year is called a common year.
February 29 is a date that usually occurs every four years, and is called leap day. This day is added to the calendar in leap years as a corrective measure, because the earth does not orbit around the sun in precisely 365 days.
A person born on February 29 may be called a "leapling" or "leaper"[10]. In common years they usually celebrate their birthdays on 28 February or 1 March.
For legal purposes, their legal birthdays depend on how different laws count time intervals. In Taiwan, for example, the legal birthday of a leapling is 28 February in common years, so a Taiwanese leapling born on February 29, 1980 would have legally reached 18 years old on February 28, 1998.
“ If a period fixed by weeks, months, and years does not commence from the beginning of a week, month, or year, it ends with the ending of the day which proceeds the day of the last week, month, or year which corresponds to that on which it began to commence. But if there is no corresponding day in the last month, the period ends with the ending of the last day of the last month.[11] ”
In some situations, March 1 is used as the birthday in a non-leap year since it then is the day just after February 28.
So what is your fortune for the Leap Year? Hold on to it , it will come only every 4 years.
" You will always have Good Luck in your personal affairs."
"You Look Pretty/Handsome"
" You will always get what you want through your charm and personality"

Total Lunar Eclipse Fortune Cookie
Tonite we witness the last Total Lunar Eclipse for the year until the year 2010, acoompanied by cameo apperances of Saturn and the brightest star,Regulas at either
side of the vieled full moon.
It was not too much clouds,we in Eastern America here were able to see this beautiful view. Have you noticed? With the stars and the moon, it looked like a cross.
As the moonlight dims — it won't go totally dark — Saturn and Regulus will pop out and sandwich the moon. Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation Leo.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the full moon passes into Earth's shadow and is blocked from the sun's rays that normally illuminate it. During an eclipse, the sun, Earth and moon line up, leaving a darkened moon visible to observers on the night side of the planet.
The moon doesn't go black because indirect sunlight still reaches it after passing through the Earth's atmosphere. Since the atmosphere filters out blue light, the indirect light that reaches the moon transforms it into a reddish or orange tinge, depending on how much dust and cloud cover are in the atmosphere at the time.
Today Total Lunar Eclipse Cookie says
" You will always get what you want through your charm and personality>"

What to do with your fortune's paper?
The weather is turning cool over here these few days. With this kind of weather, I have been restless and sleepy all the time.Feel like going in to hibenation. I know I have not been posting last few days. I was wondering what do people do with thier fortune cookies paper. Some will eat up their cookies and leave the paper on the table after their meals, some will keep them in their purse, to remind them of their good fortunes from time to times. There are some who would save them , under their pillow or in the safe. Since I have been reading a lot , I have been saving them in a small wine glass. Maybe I can sell them on ebay one day. What would you do with yours?
Today I have a few fortunes
" Discontent is the first step in the progress of a man or a nation"
'You have a reputation for being straight forward and honest"
"You have a potential urge and the ablility for accomplishment."
"You are broad minded and socially active"
"Don't let friends impose on you, work calmly and silently"
"You have an iron will, which helps you suceed in everything"
"You have much skill in expressing yourself to be effective."

Today I have to travel from Columbus, Georgia to Montgomery,Alabama with my family to visit my brother-in-law's family for the weekend. Also my sister-in-law arrives from Malaysia for a week .
Luckily I bought my fortune cookie with me. So what my long distance cookie says today?
Today Saying:
"Culture and customs of China attract You."
Well , I am not only attracted to culture and customs of China of many different
countries. I wish one day to travel to all different countries in Europe and Asia,
so I can learn more about their Culture and customs and languages.
But. it is quite true that a lot of people especially Americans are attracted to the culture and customs of China, a country full of histories.

What my fortune cookies said?
When I first came to America, I worked in my brother-law's Chinese restaurant I was thrilled to see all those Fortune cookies around. And when the customer finished their meals, the waitress would put the numbers of Fortune cookies (based on the number of guests per table) on top of the guest check, on the tip tray and gave them to the customers.
The customers would always enlightened to open the fortune cookies from their plastic wrappers ,break the cookies into half. Inside the cookie, came a small piece of paper with some words typed on and some funny numbers. They would read their fortune to each other, and always had a good laugh or happy atmosphere.
I was wondering what is all these fun about that little cookie.Back home, we never had such entertainment after dinner, just paid your check and get out.
I came to know that Fortune Cookie is very popular in all the Chinese Restaurants in America. It was not originated from the Asian countries or China, but somewhere in America.
The little tiny piece of paper usually has a quote/saying or message that tells about someones luck, faith or future.
Many People believe in them and said they are very true to their daily life. Some just have a good laugh and used it as a joke to make fun about their friends.
Most of the sayings or quote are usually positive or good, seldom find a bad one. Those set of numbers are lucky number that a lot of people will use them to buy lotto or power ball. Someone
did really hit the jackpot with these numbers.
I will try to dig more about the history of this little Fortune Cookie.
I will try to post a fortune cookie saying daily, hope all of you out there will give me your interpretation of what it says.
Today's Fortune Cookies Saying :
You are a person of strong sense of duty
It quite true for me, How does it apply to you? Please post your comment
